Act of Goodwill

One doctor waived the fees for the cesarian delivery of a girl child by a local lady. Moreover the doctor gave away the medications free of cost.

The husband of the lady is a poor peon in a local dairy. The expenses were a huge sum for him.

As the child born is girl, the doctor made it free and intended to help the poor parents save the money which in turn could be used for educating the girl.

The parents since deposited the money thus saved in the name of that girl.

This happened in Gujarat state,India where the sex ratio is skewed at 886 girls per 1000 boys.

Sensing the social implications of this phenomenon,  this doctor has been contributing in the manner described herein above.

Well done Dr Prajapati .
