This has both advantages and minuses.
Good effect. One farmer in India could get the help and money pouring in from many parts of the world for treatment of his son's heart problem. This is with the help of Facebook post.
Bad effect. Many people have become rather addict to these media which have resulted in poor marks in exams, late night sitting, divorce of couple,etc..
So use the social media for betterment of self and others: but at the cost of personal life.
